JAMMU, Nov 13: A Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JKO2 BM 2312 loaded with stubble caught fire due electric short circuit. The locals rushed to the spot and helped in evacuation process. The role of SHO Ramgarh Vijay Kotwal was appreciated who within minutes, after getting information, arranged fire brigade on spot.
Reports said that Farooq Ahmed R/O Kheri Palli purchased stubble from one Tarsem Lal R/O Dug Chhanni and was on its way back to his village when the incident occurred with touching of the wires of a electric transformer installed in the mid of road near dug Chhanni village. Locals had requested PDD maintenance wing to shift the transformer from mid of road but the concerned authorities gave deaf ear. |
