DC Reasi hold public grievances camp at Panchayat Kanjli

REASI, Nov 13: District Administration Reasi, under the headship of District Development Commissioner, Charandeep Singh, today listened to scores of public issues during a Block Diwas programme held here at Panchayat Kanjli of Block Katra.
Earlier, Charandeep Singh inaugurated a school boundary wall at Chapanno Zone.
The DC interacted with School staff and asked them to start the community classes and also listened to the grievances of the locals.
Later, the DC visited the site of a damaged house which was caved in during recent rain and hailstorm.
The local people of the surrounding Panchayats of Kanjli participated in the programme and highlighted their problems and developmental issues.
DDC member Katra Nirmala Kumari; BDC Chairman, Sham Lal; ADDC Jyoti Salathia; CPO , PO ICDS, DSWO , AD FCs&CA , CHO , CMO , ARTO , Tehsildar Katra and large number of District and block level officers and PRIs along with Sarpanchs and Panchs attended the day long programme.
The locals demanded Playground at Kanjli, Urdu Teacher for schools, regulation of minor mineral rates, upgradation of Schools, replacement of damaged electric poles, maintenance of revenue record of every school and Community hall for senior citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Charandeep Singh said that the main aim of conducting such a programme is to improve service delivery and grievances redressal mechanism. He further said the officers of District, Tehsil & Block level should remain available at these events to hear the public grievances for their on the spot redressal.
Meanwhile, several grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the programme, a review was also taken by DDC on all the previous issues flared up by local people.
Moreover, instructions were also passed to the departmental functionaries for visiting their respective jurisdictions and listening to the grievances of the general public, besides holding awareness programmes, highlighting various individual beneficiary schemes across the panchayats.
During the programme the social welfare department distributed pension sanctioning certificates and UT -Marriage assistance certificates to beneficiaries of welfare Schemes under the supervision of Dr Gulshan Kumar District Social Welfare Officer Reasi.
