Career-Oriented Or Family-Oriented
11/13/2021 11:08:56 PM

Vijay GARG

The women of the present century compared with those of the past, differ in a great many ways. Those of today have more advantages for getting an education, and good situations in life, than those of other times. The reason is that they are educated, self dependent and handling many things alone. In today’s era, an occupation of management is considered as a qualified status and surprisingly every woman is wonderfully embedded with this talent.
The Wikipedia defines housewife as “a woman whose main occupation is running or managing the family’s home.”
Whereas, Career-oriented means someone who focuses more on their satisfaction with the job they are in. That will increase their success in the career of their choice! They utilse the exoertise in that particular and get paid for it.
When women can manage and run, within their comfort zone, with high level of management, organization and administration, is there a need for them to get into the labor market? Of course there are exceptions; when money is the need for their survival or for occupations which demand women workers. Women have the right to work and can work in an ethical environment, but their market-job must not be given preference over their job of being a home-maker.
According to a survey conducted by Health, Labour and Welfare Ministry in Japan, 1 out of 3 young Women just want to get married and become full-time housewife. The poll which quizzed more than 3,000 people aged 15-39, revealed that 34% of unmarried women did not want to work when they settle down.
However, potential husbands were on the whole, less keen on this idea, with only 1 in 5 saying they wanted a future wife to stay at home all day. The Japanese women are in no regard less-educated or restricted by any sort of conservative culture or tradition. Despite the freedom, they prefer to step onto this track. Why?
There are number of reason, long working hours, need to concentrate more on job than home. Often career-oriented women, who run behind the trend of job, money and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with men. And they find it quite difficult to manage/run their homes efficiently. It’s a mother or wife that nurtures family emotions that holds a family and home together. This itself is an inbuilt talent. It requires great efforts to manage and run an institution as home. And surprisingly every women is embedded with this quality.
Home is the cabin for women, a self-organized business. The amount of time, effort, hard work and experience invested in yields respective outcomes. Either the family advances or disintegrates with poor moral values and future. Residing at home is not the last option but the most productive choice. Now she has more time and energy to develop herself and her work-space.
Not all, only those who want to have money more than their inbuilt talent of managing the backbone of society and in turn nation; their family. A good family is an asset to the nation, as they are the rulers of tomorrow. None other than a homemaker shapes this great asset.
Women should utilise their talent in many different channels for the reformation of society. Moreover, they can participate in social activities create awarness.
Today, many people are there who have everything but need some therapies to combat loneliness. As we know the future is in the constant threat of loneliness. According to survey, loneliness is 300% up in the western world. It’s said that loneliness is as bad for health as smoking 15 cigarette a day. It’s worse than obesity.
So the point is here when parents leave behind their children in crush or in any other care centre. This is the time when kids need more care and caress. This is the age when their memories are stored for life time. So mothers and fathers should spare their quality time on growing children. The downfall of humanity commences when family life is at stake and fail to play their part in their zone. That’s the reason, many traditional family and family values are under threat in many countries across the globe.
Women need to get educated, not for replacing men in field jobs or green notes, but for fulfilling the post of their identity and self-honour. Women are not for raising the economy but for raising a generation who will be the forerunners of the same. That’s the biggest achievement of their life when they can be able to provide the best nation for the future.
