Chairman PHSC takes stock of people’s problems | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 15: Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee (PHSC) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Narinder Singh Jamwal said that even the best development of any area is meaningless unless the optimum standards of sanitation and cleanliness accompany such development. Jamwal said that during his extensive tour of Ward 53 while taking stock of grievances of the people of the area especially the grievances pertaining to sanitation concerns. Jamwal was accompanied by Neeraj Lucky Puri Gandhi Nagar Mandal President and Corporator Ward 54 Mandal President Praveen Kerni and Sahil Mahajan during the tour. During his interaction with the residents of these areas Narinder Singh Jamwal was apprised by the people of their issues and problems pertaining to sanitation. They said that there is a dire need for maintaining optimum sanitation level in all the areas for which it is necessary to stop breeding of mosquitoes and other insects. The residents said that there are various spots in the area where heaps of garbage have turned into breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Jamwal urged the people to become proactive partners in official endeavours of the government and its institutions like the JMC. He directed the JMC staff to clean the drains and lanes of the area at a fast pace and ensure that the same is followed by continuous fogging of the area besides ensuring proper disposal of garbage.
