Discourage online shopping, RRSA appeals masses | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 15: Residency Road Shopkeepers Association Jammu appealed the people to avoid online shopping to give a boost to local business to support traders in the region as business has been affected badly due to covid-19 and law and order situation in the Jammu and Kashmir UT. President Kunal Chadha said that to save the business in the Jammu region people should discourage online shopping because this has already dented the interests of shopkeepers and the online shopping prove to be deleterious for the traders of the region. General secretary Tajinder Singh while addressing the meeting said to save local traders from devastation is also the responsibility of the people of the region therefore it is advisable that people should buy goods from local shops. He said that online shopping is not the alternative to local shops and if the trend will continue the days are not far when local shops will disappear leading to inconvenience to the public and livelihood loss to traders. Vice president Naresh Vaid appealed to the people of Jammu in general not to discourage the local vendors as it has been observed many times products are much cheaper on the retail outlets than the online shopping sites. Senior executive member Manvinder Singh Anand (Vinka) said that still the threat of Covid19 is looming at large therefore it is advisable that people should follow SOPs invariably without any carelessness, He advice to the Association Members to adopt SOPs on their shops and while attending the customers in their Outlets. Sanjeev Gandotra, Rahil Paul, Ayush Gupta, Harmeet Singh, Waseem Paul, Joginder Chadha , Rajesh Gandotra and other Dignitaries were present in the meeting to discuss the future strategy of the Association. |
