Jammu, Nov 15: Student for Holistic Development of Humanity (SHoDH) Jammu and Kashmir organised a One Day Workshop on Unsung Heroes of India's Independence at Seminar Hall, Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof. Prakash Chand Anthal, Dean of Student Welfare, University of Jammu in which he said that there are hundreds of Freedom fighters in Jammu and Kashmir who had participated in Freedom Struggle during British Period to get India free from British Period and first time SHoDH Jammu and Kashmir is going to conduct a internship program to give recognition to those by writing articles and making documentary on them in collaboration with Centre for Ladakh and Jammu Regional Culture, University of Jammu. The Guest of Honour of the programme Dr. Perminder Singh, Union Territory President, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu and Kashmir said that it is very good initiative taken by SHoDH Jammu and Kashmir. The Key Speaker of the programme Dr Alok Pandey said this internship programme said this initiative will help to give recognition to them, their family and will develop the sense of patriotism among the youth of the current society and will also be helpful for the new generations. At the end , Ravail Parihar, Union Territory Convener of SHoDH Jammu and Kashmir has given the Vote of Thank speech and said that the whole team of SHoDH Jammu and Kashmir is highly thankful to the Chief Guest of the programme, Guest of Honour of the programme, Key Speaker of the programme, staff of DSW, University of Jammu, other faculty members, Research Scholars, students and media persons who have given their contribution to make this workshop successful. There were total fifty six Research Scholars and Students who participated in this workshop.
