Congress on verge of collapse in J&K: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 17: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday said that ongoing squabble among Congress leaders in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will soon result into its collapse as factionalism is ruling the roost in the century old party. In a statement issued here, the senior BJP leader said that the Congress is dying its own death as the party has gone haywire due to leadership dearth and mishandling by the dynast helmsmen controlling its affairs. He said that the reports coming out with regard to Ghulam Nabi Azad's loyalists handing over resignations to high command, quitting from vital party positions in favour of their leader shows that the leadership in J&K has lost confidence of the party men which include senior functionaries like former deputy CM and ministers. He said that the revolt against incumbent party president clearly speaks of dwindling position of party in J&K thus giving an indication that soon it will be rooted out completely with no signs remaining on ground. Reportedly, senior Congress leaders from Jammu as well as from Kashmir valley, former Ministers and Legislators, have submitted their joint resignation from all posts in protest against not providing them opportunity of being heard about the party affairs in the Union Territory. He said that the position of Congress party is dismal as there is no one to listen to the plight of senior most leaders and the incumbent party president is in no mood to listen to their issues and is giving two hoots to the concerns of the faction going against the leadership in J&K. He said that sooner than later the Congress party will see the end in the UT of J&K as already the party is in decline mode with disastrous show in the polls which held in the recent past in the UT. |
