Mughal Road mocks development claims | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 19: Residents of Mughal Daab Jalian are up in arms against the administration for failing to repair the portion of the Mughal Road that connects their area with South Kashmir. Locals while talking to Early Times said, “We had given our land for this road with a hope that we will get connected with the rest of the country. We were not even given adequate compensation for our land.” Residents said that they have approached the concerned authorities on many occasions to get the road from Mughal Daab to Azamabad repaired but their “pleas have fallen into deaf ears.” “It seems that the administration is waiting for some mishap to occur. It seems an accident will wake them up,” they added. Residents said that the winter has almost set in and if this road is not repaired within a few days then it would mean that they will have to wait till next year.
