FCS&CA department achieves 100% Aadhar seeding of Ration Cards
11/20/2021 10:19:43 PM
Early Times Report
DODA, Nov 20: Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Doda has completed hundred percent (100%)Aadhar seeding of the Ration cards of all the NFSA and Non-NFSA beneficiaries of the district.
With this, Doda has joined the group of the few districts in the UT to achieve this feat.
According to the AD FCS&CA the Aadhar Seeding of Ration Cards is important as it helps to clean out duplications and fake ration cards and provides accurate data to enable the implementation of direct benefit programmes.
Further, he said that the use of Aadhaar reduces the cost of identifying persons and provides increased transparency to the government in the implementation of its schemes.
Pertinent to mention here that earlier, Aadhar Seeding of the ration cards in the district was low which was creating a lot of inconvenience in prompt service delivery to the public as it was difficult for the department to identify the duplications and fakes.
Considering the gravity of the situation, the team of the FCS&CA, under the guidance of the Commissioner Secretary Zubair Ahmad, District Development Commissioner, Vikas Sharma, Director FCS&CA Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and tireless efforts of AD FCS&CA, Rahul Sharma stepped in to cover all the beneficiaries under the Aadhar seeding process.
The field functionaries of the FCS&CA Department took the job on a mission mode and worked hard to achieve the desired outcomes.
They also made the public aware of the benefits of aadhar seeding and motivated them to get their ration cards seeded with Aadhar.
With the positive response from the public and dedicated efforts, the department managed to ensure complete saturation of the district under Aadhaar Seeding within a stipulated time.
