JAMMU, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) led by Sachin Tickoo, general Secretary in presence of Ashok Kumar Dubey, Vice-President, M.P Singh Provincial Secretary ,Rajeshwar Jamwal, Provincial Pub. Secretary, Yash Paul Organising Secretary, Vipul Sharma Treasurer and Purshottam Sharma Cashier today held a Press Conference here at Press Club Jammu.
While speaking on the occasion, Sachin Tickoo expressed sincere gratitude and immense pleasure over the issuance of regularization orders in favour of 104 Engineers which included 13 Chief Engineers ,32 Superintending Engineers, 59-Executive Engineers. The issue was so chronic that since 2001, which works out to nearly 20 years the regularization of Engineers in Power Development Department had been left unaddressed and working out the complete proposal as per the mandate of SAC decision in its meeting held on 22.10.2019 was a herculean task which was befittingly done by the dedicated team of Human Resource Management wing of the Power Development Department led by Dr. Desraj Bhagat Additional Secretary HRM, under the overall supervision and Guidance of Rohit Kansal , Principal Secretary PDD since his taking over the reins of the department in August 2020.
JKEEGA unequivocally appreciates the efforts put in by Rohit Kansal Principal Secretary PDD during the last one and half year towards improving the work culture in Power Development department in terms of increasing consumer satisfaction by delivering quality power supply to every nook and corner of the Union Territory and at the same time infusing renewed zeal among the cadres by taking landmark decisions and resolving issues which had been pending since ages together. Among such other issues was issue of regularization which had been pending since decades together.
Ashok Kumar Dubey highlighted that Power Development Department recently had been able to incorporate provision of 24 lacs as Ex-gratia relief in case of death of any employee/daily wager due to any electrical accident and large emphasis has been laid on the safety measures to minimize such incidents ab-nitio , recognizing the role of each employee of the department.
JKEEGA also placed on record the gratitude to Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta Chief Secretary J&K, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi Comm./Secty. General Adminstration Department and other establishment committee members for expediting the clearance of the regularization proposal in order to resolve the long pending issue of the Power Development department.
