Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 20: Bhartiya Kala Sangam today held Dogri Folk Music programme under Repertory grant of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi at K.L. Saigal Hall Cultural Academy, Jammu. In this function, Davinder Singh Rana, Ex-MLC and Sr. BJP leader was the Chief Guest while Vinay Sharma, KPS, Sr. Supdt. of Police, AS Amn, Addl. Secretary, JKAACL, Sunaina Sharma, Addl. Secretary to Govt., Sheetal Bharti, Inspector J&K Police, Javeed Kakroo, Social Activist and Er. Ashok Singh, President, J&K Delphic Council were Guests of Honour besides special guests and distinguish audience. Besides, Sohail Kazami, Chief in Patron, T.R. Sharma, Chairman, and Romesh Singh Chib, Director of Bhartiya Kala Sangam. On this occasion, Davinder Singh Rana, while addressing the audience expressed his happiness to watch the laudable Dogri folk songs and said that the Folk songs of Dogra land is the recognition of people of Jammu. He extolled the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam for promoting art and culture of Jammu and Kashmir since last four decades involving talented artists from rural areas to depict their talent on the platform of Bhartiya Kala Sangam. Earlier while welcoming the guests, Sohail Kazami Patron-in-Chief Bhartiya Kala Sangam gave a brief account of activities with regard to art, culture and languages done so far since its inception from 1980 he said, adding that the basic objective of BKS is to encourage and provide its forum to new and budding artists drawn from far flung areas to showcase Dogra culture. On this occasion, special attraction was the team of filmmakers from Mumbai comprising of Rohit Puri, Rohan Sharma and Rhea Rane, who were special guests. Besides Tilak Raj Tagotra, Surinder Singh Manhas, Asha Kesar, Bishan Dass, Rao Brothers, Neeta Adarsh and party, Suman Raju participated as Singers. The instrumentalists, who accompanied the Singers were Rakesh Masihe Khanna, Flute, Joginder Paul, Table, Chandan, Sinth, The programme was anchored by Radio TV Announcer Rajni Anubhav and vote of thanks presented by T.
