DDC chairman, DC tour border tehsil Ramgarh
Inspects development works; listens to Public grievances

SAMBA, Nov 20: District Development Council Chairman Samba, Keshav Dutt Sharma and Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta Saturday conducted an extensive tour of border Tehsil Ramgarh and assessed the ongoing development works, besides listened to the Public grievances.
Block Development Council Chairman Ramgarh Darshan Singh; Local DDC member, Sarpanches, panches, ACD, SDM Vijaypur, ACP, XENs of PWD, PHE, PDD besides other district and sectoral officers were also present.
The DDC Chairman and DC visited CHC Ramgarh to review functioning of the ongoing covid vaccination drive.
The DC directed health officials to administer a second dose to all the eligible persons at the due date and also intensify the door to door vaccination campaign.
The DDC and DC also visited the villages Hirachak, Rahmlu Rasordian, Mahalsha, Abtal, Nandpur and Khour Salarian of Ramgarh Block.
They inspected development works including Ramgarh to Chamliyal Shrine PWD Road, RTIC River, RDD works and construction of PHC building.
The DC laid emphasis on adhering to the quality parameters while executing the development works and early dedication of the completed infrastructure to the people at the earliest. She also set the timeline for the completion of each project and directed for its strict adherence.
Interacting with the local public, she assured to address their genuine grievances including maintenance of roads, regular supply of drinking water, up-gradation of Power infrastructures and other local issues.
The public outreach progammes also witnessed IEC activities on Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani- through the Land Records Information System facility created by J&K Government.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said with the prime objective of enabling doorstep governance, special drives are being conducted by the district administration to saturate the government schemes at zero line border villages including the self employment programs.
“Following the directions of Lieutenant Governor the public issues of border habitants are being closely monitored by District Administration and development activities like establishment of sports complexes, library, border tourist village etc are being implemented” said DC Samba.
