Jammu business ruined due to ban on ‘Darbar Move’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29: Although the government claimed to have saved Rs 200 crore annually by ending Darbar Move practice, this move of the government has ruined business of Jammu. For six months thousands of employees with their families move to Jammu. Due to this the traders and businesses community of Jammu get the opportunity to earn money. During six months of winter, markets of Jammu were usually flooded with customers from Kashmir Valley. Traders and shopkeepers used to anxiously wait for Darbar in Jammu for their business. There’s hardly any sector that didn’t earn out of the darbar move. People would come here, go to parks, travel in public transport, buy medicines and groceries. It meant a continuous source of business for a small trader in Jammu. |
