GDC organizes seminar on “Cyber Crimes and Safety”

Ramnagar, Nov 29: Department of Computer Applications, GDC Ramnagar organized one day seminar on “Cyber Crimes and Safety” as part of Cyber Jagrookta initiative of the Government.
It was organized under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar. Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal, in his inaugural speech highlighted the importance of awareness about cyber crimes and also gave some general tips about saving oneself from the financial frauds. Ms. Rudrika Kalsotra, Lecturer Computer Applications and resource person of today’s seminar, gave presentation about various terms and aspects of the cyber security.
She also discussed the ways and practices by which we can remain alert and avoid being victim of cyber crimes. In the end, Prof. Aditya Sharma, HOD Computer Applications, discussed the importance of reading instructions carefully and appropriate behavior while using internet. The seminar was attended by a large number of students. Besides Prof. Swarna Devi, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Satish Kumar and Swati Samnotra were also present.
