NMC demands release outstanding 3 DA Installments | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 2: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister to release the outstanding 3 DA installments arrears blocked while releasing the same to its employees and pensioners recently. “Since the Price index and inflation are on rise day to day which has made salaried class and pensioners to face hardship to manage their livelihood” Shastri said this while addressing a NMC workers meeting here. Shastri pointed out that it is the fitness of things that financial assistance so accrued by way of rising dearness allowance (DA) is released without any further delay. He further hoped that the central Govt. will consider the burning demand of both Central/States/UTs employees and pensioners in releasing the 3DA installments blocked arrears in favor of these employees and pensioners at the earliest. Apart from this long pending demand of medical allowance has remained un-address, the same should be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month which is-in- vogue, Shastri added. Shastri also demanded the regularization of the services of daily rated workers working in various departments of JK UT Govt. under SRO 64 implementation of all central labor laws in JK UT, enhancing the wages of DRWs at par with Central Government releasing of all pending wages of DRWs besides setting up of a Labour Welfare Board. Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, BS Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Romesh Sharma, Mohd Sadeeq, Swarn Bhagat, Mustakh Ahmed, Tarseem Sharma, Darshan Bhagat, Vijay Bhagat, Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh, Ravinder Sharma, JP Sharma, Girdhari Lal Bhagat and Bachno Devi. |
