| DF & SS holds protest rally against JMC officials | | |

JAMMU, Dec 2: The workers of Dogra Front (DF) & Shiv Sena (SS) under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) officers who want to disturb the peace of Jammu.
The party president demanded that these officers should be transferred from Jammu so that the peace can be restored among the shopkeepers.
Under the constitution of the JMC, an officer who has an experience of 15 years can only become the Commissioner of the Corporation, but the rules are being broken and officers are being made the Commissioner without appropriate experience, said Ashok Gupta.
Without the consent of the House of the Corporation consisting of Councillors the Corporation cannot function, he added.
Gupta further said that in the 13 meetings of the House the bill to draw yellow lines in front of the shops was never discussed but still the officers of the Corporation started drawing yellow lines.
He stated that an enquiry should be launched against these officers who are creating a sense of animosity in Jammu and disrupting the peaceful environment.
The party people who were present at the time of protest were Chaman Lal, Vijay Kumar, Sham, Dinesh, Bantu, Prem, Vikky, Fauji and Caruso. |
