| GDC Doongi organizes poetry competition | | | 
EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 2: Government Degree College (GDC) Doongi organized a poetry competition on the theme “Jan Jan Ki Bhasha Hindi". The programme was coordinated by Sapna Sharma, Department of Hindi. While speaking on the occasion, she emphasized the students to give importance and adapt their national language Hindi. Around 22 students from different semesters participated in this competition, in which Honey Bala from BA sem 3rd secured first position, second position was won by Sagrati Sharma from semester 1st and third position was bagged by Roopali and Chitranjan Sharma respectively.
The whole programme was organized under the patronage of Dr Shamim Ahmed Azad, Principal of the college.
Dr Azad interacted with the students and spoke about the importance of Hindi language.
On this occasion, he congratulated all the students for their active participation.
Palak Preet Kour, Dept of EVS presented vote of thanks on this occasion. Others who spoke on this occasion were Dr Tahir Amin Khan HOD English, Dr Mohd Khaliq HOD Geography, Rubina Akther HOD Sociology. The vote of thanks was presented by Palak Preet Kour from the Department of Environmental Sciences. |
