Govt PG College Rajouri celebrates NCC Raising Day

RAJOURI, Dec 2: NCC Unit (Girls Wing), Govt PG College, Rajouri celebrated 73rd NCC Raising week that concluded on 2nd December, 2021 under the countenance of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr) Shakeel Ahmed Raina.
The week-long event began with the hoisting of the flag, followed by a march-past by NCC cadets. The Cadets participated in various events including the singing of the NCC song, cleanliness drive, motivating and inspiring the students etc. During the celebration week, the cadets also paid tributes to the martyrs and cited various inspirational stories of patriotism. The Principal of the College, Prof (Dr) Shakeel Ahmed Raina addressed the gathering and briefed about the values and importance of NCC in student life. He added that NCC will make the cadets as the people who are ready to protect the nation and serve the people in various beneficial ways by community development.
During the event NCC Officer (SW), Prof Salma Farooq highlighted the significance and importance of the NCC Day. She further added that the NCC training would help the youth to become responsible citizens, and also help to gain leadership qualities. At the end of the week-long event, the cadets took the NCC pledge and promised to be better citizens of the country. Principal, Prof (Dr) Shakeel Ahmed Raina, appreciated Prof Salma Farooq, NCC Officer (SW) and the cadets for their efforts in making this event a grand success.
