| GDC RS Pura conducts cleanliness drive | | | 
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 2: The NSS unit of Govt Degree College (GDC) RS Pura carried out a cleanliness drive in village Dangrey, RS Pura as a part of Clean India Program (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav).
The drive was conducted under the patronship of the Principal of the college, Prof Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari, NSS Program Officer. About 30 volunteers participated in the event. During the cleanliness drive volunteers cleaned the premises of Ravidas temple and Peer Baba Sahib situated over there. They picked up plastic items like wrappers, plastic bottles and polythene, cutting bushes thereby cleaning the premises. Afterwards, the NSS Volunteers interacted with the common masses present there and educated them about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. The work of NSS volunteers was appreciated by Shashank Rattan, Panch of the village. The entire program was coordinated by Prof Sukhwinder Kaur. |
