Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, Dec 6: Juhi Pathania, Vice Chairperson, DDC Udhampur today convened a mammoth public grievances redressal camp here at Town Hall Ramnagar. The camp was attended by Jattu Ram, DDC-Ramnagar-II, Mool Raj, DDC Ramnagar-I, Rakesh Bodhi, DDC Ghordi, Banti Devi, Chairman Municipal Committee Ramnagar, and line officers of various departments.
Pathania welcomed the government move regarding declaring development of Kulwanta, Dudu, Basantgarh, Panchound & Panchari as tourist villages. She asked for developing a viable tourist circuit of pilgrimage tourism connecting all- popular shrines like the historic temples of Sri Pingla Mata, Sri Chountra Mata and Sri Marada Mata, Sri Narsingh Ji temples at Ramnagar, Majalta, Aapshambhu temples of Dalsar and Khoon, Vasuki Naag temples at Dudu Basantgarh and Kote, besides popular Sudh Mahadev temple, temples of Krimchi, Bavour, Nainsoo & Sankari. Pathania further called for speeding up provision of basic facilities/amenities in these areas.
Terming it as a viable circuit, she said it connotes that people coming from across the state will be able to relish best out of these facilities while en route their way to Srinagar. Pathania further said picturesque spots of R.C Peak, Parli Dhar, Dudu Basantgarh and Pancheri also need to be developed in order to nurture employment abilities as well as developmental potential in the area.
She further called for taking steps for developing Ramnagar town as a base camp for tourism promotion activities in the area which includes lodging facilities, proper infrastructure for educating and enlightening people about the ancient history of Ramnagar, significance of the religious spots, their description in Vedas/scriptures, educating them about the bowlis and rivers as well as the holy rivers emerging and passing through various terrains in J&K.
Meanwhile, the people put forth demands seeking start of work on Sulghar to Dalsar Khas PMGSY road. The people said that the road was sanctioned almost three years back but was delayed due to certain reasons leading to widespread resentment in the area. Other issues include operationalisation of the girls hostel at Chowki and immediate sending of DPRs for Sub Center at Tagan and start of work on Chigli Garhi to Jandrore road.
The camp was also addressed by Kuldeep Sharma, Sumit Gupta, Rakesh Kharka, Shonku, Madhu Bala, Kalsoom Bano, Jagmohan, Bikram Singh, Bodh Raj Sharma, Isher Dass and others. The prominent people of the area were all praise for the initiative of Juhi Pathania whereby she allows public to interact with officers and redress their day to day issues.
