Recruitment for SI posts: SSB ignores LG’s directions | | | Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Dec 6: Service Selection Board (SSB) has allegedly ignored the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to give age relaxation to the aspirants who have applied for posts of Sub Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir Police, The aspirants alleged that they are unable to submit their forms online due to non- upgradation of the website after age relaxation announcement. “The aspirants over 28 years of age are repeatedly trying to fill up their forms after announcement but due to non upgradation of age relaxation field, they are not able to submit the same, which is a big joke with the aspirants”, they claimed. They said that they held a series of demonstrations to get their demand of age relaxation met from UT Administration but now when the last date is approaching which is December 10, the SSB is yet to make changes in the website. Shockingly when aspirants approached the SSB officials, they were informed that officials have not received any official communication from LG Office. “This is a cruel joke with the aspirants,. LG Sinha should take note of the issue. His direction has not been taken seriously,” they said. They informed that their demand for age relaxation is genuine as no recruitment in JKP for the post of Sub Inspector has been held for the past five years. |
