| Forum for Peace & Territorial intergrity hails farmers victory | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: Sheikh Ab. Rehman Ex MP and chief patron for peace and territorial (Integrity) J&K and I .D Khajuria president J&K Forum for peace and territorial Integrity as also its General Secretary Ram Singh Chauhan while addressing a joint press conference at Jammu, congratulated the farmers fraternity of India for their historic result oriented struggle against the most controversial three farmers bill for more than a year and tern the same as victory of Democracy. Sheikh Ab. Rehman while elaborating said that the manner in which these three controversial bills were introduced in the parliament through backdoor and then repealed after taking lives of more than 700 innocent farmers while on road sensing visible defeat in the state going for polls in early 2022, getting a drubbing in the bye-elections in the country clearly show the on-set of autocracy at the instance of one man because no option was sought in the cabinet or the working committee of the ruling dispensation the release maintained.
Khajuria further said that around 1 lakh kanals land bordering international border distt president kahtua is being declared as state land and the local habitations likely to be displaced which may result in tremendous hardships for the lakhs of people giving birth to unprecedented human rights violations. The Forum leaders appealed the Lt. Governor to look into the matter visualizing the gravity of situation they cautioned and further demanded to restore pre Aug 5,2019 position in the state restoring its statehood so that people live in an atmosphere of peace, honour and dignity without any fear, they demanded. |
