NC minority cell seeks enhancement in posts under PM package | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 6: National Conference minority cell today sought enhancement in the number of posts under the Prime Minister's package for ensuring jobs to the displaced people from the Valley due to terrorism, stating that the burgeoning unemployment has pushed the educated youth to the wall. "Unemployment has caused a sense of deprivation and despair among the migrant youth and this is needed to be addressed on priority," minority cell President M K Yogi said while addressing the workers meet at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this afternoon. Yogi demanded construction of additional accommodation with all the facilities for lodging the employees under the package. Also, adequate security bandhobast should be ensured at all the dwelling places in view of the obtaining grave security scenario, he added. Referring to the plight of the non-camp migrants, putting up in the rented accommodation, Yogi called for construction of additional 5,000 flats across Jammu. He also demanded raising of foolproof boundary wall in Jagti, as also proper security arrangements. He stressed the need for basics in all the camps, particularly drinking water, power and medicare. |
