| Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha observes Mahaparinirvan Diwas | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha today observed the Mahaparinirvan Diwas (66th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr B.R Ambedkar) at Bishnah. Due to the COVID-19 advisory & in view the guidelines issued by UT Administration, the gathering was restricted while observing social distancing and other parameters in this regard.
President of the Sabha F C Bhagat said that whole of the nation observes December 6 as Mahaparinirvan Divas every year to mark the death anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, who fought for economic and social empowerment of Dalits in the country. Fondly remembered as Babasaheb, he was also among the seven members of the "drafting committee" who prepared a draft of the Constitution of the independent India and is well known for his great influence in India in eradicating the social scourge of un-touchability. |
