Social activist Rajan Gupta urges Mayor to construct public convenience complexes at Jewel Chowk | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 6: Rajan Gupta Social activist has appealed to Mayor Jammu and JMC Commissioner Avny Lavasa to construct adequate public convenience complexes at suitable places in between Jewel Chowk and Patta Bohri as the stretch lacks the facility leading to hardships to common man. Rajan Gupta in a statement said, "The administration which is boasting of all round development has forgotten this stretch as people are forced to use open spaces for relieving their gall bladders and attend to the call of nature in absence of a designated facility. This is a big lacunae on the part of city developers who never get tired of claiming that they have raised a smart city." "This aspect should be taken care of immediately as people are facing problems in the absence of the public convenience complexes," he added. Gupta, however, praised the Mayor Jammu and JMC Commissioner for listening to people's demands on priority. He anticipated that sooner than later the concerned helmsmen will do the needful in the matter and help the common masses to heave a sigh of relief. Rajan Gupta said that the aforesaid stretch witnesses huge rush of people and with no facility as such for public convenience the people have to face colossal hardships and thus it is necessary to raise the aforesaid civic edifice as soon as possible. Rajesh Kumar, Vishnu, Ravi Kumar, Parminder Singh and Sahil Singh seconded Gupta and urged the authorities to act. |
