Trade union leaders raise issues of SPOs, others

Jammu, Dec 6: Sewa Singh Bali, president All India Voice of Poor People and president trade union Aam Aadmi Party Jammu and Kashmir today held press conference here.
They raised demands of disengaged Special Police Officers, NHRM employees, beneficiaries of Awas Yojana and ration card holders in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sewa Singh Bali said that special police officers who are working in police department of Jammu and Kashmir are facing discrimination at the hands of the government and till date no regularization policy has been formulated by the government and requested the government to redress their issues in time frame manner.
Sewa Singh Bali also raised the issue of disengage SPO whose services have been terminated /disengaged by the police department without assigning any reason should be re-engaged by the police department taking into consideration the fact that these officers have reached such a stage in their life where they have become In eligible for other government jobs.
Sewa Singh Bali further appreciated the work done by NHRM workers during Covid pandemic and demanded that services of these employees should be regularized by the government taking into consideration the fact that pandemic is rising day by day and government is disengaging services of NHRM employees who have done a commendable job to handling Covid in state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sewa Singh Bali further said that as per government policy residential accommodation will be provided to each and every citizen under Awaz yojana but government is not providing any benefit to needed people and many persons who are in dire need of residential accommodation are not even added in the list prepared by the government authorities. Sewa singh bail added that many ration card holder in village level are facing great difficulty in rectification of entries in ration cards as the government officers are neither rectifying the entries in ration cards nor preparing new ration cards for needy people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sewa Singh demanded that government should organize camps on weekly basis in villages to remove difficulties of ration card holders. He further added that tomorrow he is going to Delhi and will submit detail memorandum in this regard to prime minister & Home Minister of India.
