JAMMU, Dec 6: Government P G College Rajouri on Monday organized Mahaparinirvan Diwas in the conference hall of the college, a statement said.
It said the event included a symposium on the life, achievement and contribution of Baba saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Huge gathering of students and teachers attended the event which was chaired by Manzoor Hussain General Manager DIC Rajouri and presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina. The programme was an initiative of College Literary and Cultural Committee coordinated and attended by Prof Farooq Mirza, Prof Iqbal Raina, Dr Mohammad Saleem Wani, Prof Asif Lone, Prof Amjad Bhatti, Prof Khalid Bhatti, Dr Gulshan Bhat, Prof Amit Bhalla, Prof Bashir Ch, Prof Zamir Mirza and others.
A team of judges including Prof Khaliq from Dept of philosophy and Dr Mumtaz from Dept of Pol. Science declared Irfan Khan, Asma and Sameena Manzoor as Ist, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the symposium.
Dr Mohammad Saleem Wani presented welcome address whereas Prof Iqbal Raina extended vote of thanks. |
