 EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 8: Red Ribbon Club and NSS unit of GDC Thannamandi today concluded the week long activities under New India@75 3rd phase which was launched on 1st December 2021 in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society.
Today mask making competition on Covid 19 awareness was organized in which Adnan Auqib, Javaria Khan and Rebab Javed were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The judges for mask making competition were Prof. Nahim-un-Nisa, Prof Khalid Rayaz and Waqar Ahmed Gorsi chief Librarian.
The week long activities comprised of symposium on AIDS/HIV awareness, poster making competition on TB awareness, slogan writing on Blood Donation awareness and mask making on Covid-19 awareness. A good number of students participated in all the events and made it a great success. Prize distribution ceremony was held today in which all the winners were given cash prizes.
The programme was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal of the college. Prof Raheela Mushtaq, Nodal officer Red Ribbon Club and Prof. Mohammad Shoket, NSS programme officer were the event organisers. Prominent among the staff members who attended the programme included Prof. Nahim-un-Nisa, Prof Mudasser Majid, Prof. Ajaz Nazir, Prof. Naveen Sharma, Prof. Tahir Nadeem, Prof. Fatima Bi. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Khalid Rayaz, HOD Geography. Formal vote of thanks was give by NSS volunteer Adnan Auqib of Semester 1st. |
