| Akhnoor Police solves burglary case, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 8: On November 14, Police Station Akhnoor received a complaint from a shopkeeper namely Kewal Krishan S/o Babu Ram R/o village Guda Jagir Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu regarding burglary in shop during the intervening night of 13th and 14th November at Kalewali Kaleeth Akhnoor. Accordingly, FIR number 291/2021 U/S 457/380/427 IPC was registered in PS Akhnoor and further investigation into the matter has been taken up. In this regard, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial a special police team headed by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Mohammad Azhar and PSI Karnail Singh Parihar was constituted. During the course of investigation, with the help of CCTV footage and other technical tools, the burglar was identified as Mukhtar Ahmed S/o Nazir Ahmed R/o Village Chasana Tehsil Chasana District Reasi. In this connection, a special team was dispatched to Reasi and other areas to nab the accused. The accused was finally arrested and was taken into the custody by Police party of PS Akhnoor. The accused confessed to the crime and on his confession some of the stolen cash was also recovered. Further investigation is in progress and more recoveries are expected. The hunt to nab his associates is also on. The overall operation was conducted under the guidance of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma. |
