They demanded repair of pond at Phangial, Shifting of electric transformer, Construction of drain on road side, Construction of play ground and Boundary wall, Construction of foot bridge over nallah at Kotli Bala, augmentation of drinking water supply, Installation of zebra crossing & signal lights, Black topping of Kral and Showni PWD roads, Desilting of dug wells, Up gradation of middle School Gudaar, establishment of dispensary, Construction of passenger sheds at Rathian east, enhancement of labour wages, Widening of road from Round Domail to Battal, Requirement of five foot bridge along with NH from Tikri to Jakhani, Filling up of vacant posts etc.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. She asked the officers to take first hand appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress the same on priority. While interacting with the public, the DC said that public outreach programmes are an important part of effective governance through which administration interacts with people in their own localities and get feedback on the ongoing developmental works.
During the camp, the DC advised the public to wear face masks, wash hand frequently and maintain social distance in public places. The DC also sensitised the public about the benefits of ‘Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani’ (AZAN) platform launched by the Centre and UT Government for the welfare of the public at large. She asked the public to come forward and avail benefits of all those schemes.
Earlier, the DC also planted a tree and said that tree plantation is an integral part of environment conservation and everyone should plant at least one tree in a year & play a role in protecting nature.
BDC, DDC and PRIs thanked DC for organizing this public outreach programme and urged District Administration to organize more such camps in future also.
Later, the DC also welcomed newly selected Panchayat Account Assistants and asked them to work with dedication and zeal.
