12/9/2021 10:28:30 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 9: Recruit local Pahari youth as SPOs to strengthen 2nd line of defense stated Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Former MoS (Advisory Board for Development of Pahari Speaking People).
Accompanied by BJP Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Kuldeep Raj Gupta was addressing a press conference at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu to press for strengthening the border areas where terrorists hide in the dense forests and deep trenches. He said that the local active youth who have complete knowledge of local landscape, can augment the security forces to successfully wipe out terrorists from the area.
Gupta said that the Pahari belt is spanned around a large landscape and while the Armed Forces of India are doing their job diligently, it is highly recommendable that the local youth from this region are involved more actively and engaged as SPOs so that the infiltration and subsequent terrorism can be effectively contained.
He said that Pahari people have faced wrath of Pakistan's mischief and are the first sufferers of this hostility but despite all odds they have stood like pillars to safeguard National interests. He said that the people of this belt are Nationalistic and hardworking but are devoid of various advancements.
Gupta said that the public centric approach by the Modi led government has initiated the unprecedented development in the far flung areas which is a testimony for the strong commitment of BJP leadership in serving the Nation altruistically. He said that these Pahari people are agriculturists and are a major milk supplier today. If they are given due facilities like ST status, Assembly reservation etc; Pahari community can prove to be a boon for national safety and economy, he asserted.
