Drubeel: Tribal children have no access to school, Anganwari centre | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: In brazen injustice with the poor tribal children of Kishtwar District, more than 30 children belonging to tribal Gujjar community have no school or Anganwari centre. Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir Government recently announced that its planning to merge around 2000 schools for providing better facilities to the children and the education sector is the priority. But in Drubeel area of Mughalmaidan children are unable to get their basic and primary right of compulsory education. “In this era of digital India they are still without basic facilities. On one side government is merging many schools where the students roll is less but on another so many habitations where there is a dire need to open schools and Anganwadi centers,” residents said. “We have approached the administration on many occasion but no one has paid any heed towards our requests. We want our children to attend the school so that they can build their careers,” they added. |
