| GDC Kalakote organizes covid-19 awareness campaign | | | Early Times Report
KALAKOTE, Dec 9: Under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" Government Degree College (GDC) Kalakote in collaboration with NSS unit and J&K AIDS Control Society is observing a series of events on the eve of World AIDS day for the implementation of new India @75 3rd phase. RRC of GDC Kalakote organized a Mask Making Competition on "Covid-19 Awareness Campaign" under the guidance and patronage of Dr Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GDC Kalakote, in which a number of students took participation.
The event commenced with a formal speech by the member of Red Ribbon club Prof. Vrinda Sharma where she highlighted that Covid-19 as a global threat and continues to emerge it is critical to improve the awareness of the students and aware the students about the symptoms and prevention of this deadly disease.
Beenish Kouser of B.A. Semester 1st bagged the First Prize, Kajal Sharma of B.A. semester 1st got the Second Prize and Sanjana Dutta of B.A. Semester 1st got the third prize in this competition. The judges of the event were, Dr Mohd. Shakoor, Prof. Priyanka Kumari, Dr Tariq Raseed and Miss Pooja Rana.
On the occasion, Principal GDC Kalakote Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta shared his valuable views on Covid-19 Awareness and aware the students of virus infection, symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness, running nose and possible infection spread from one person to another. He also remarks that people should cooperate to each other during this pandemic. And also do proper sanitation and wearing mask, keep social distance so that we can defeat this deadly virus.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by Prof. Jyoti Devi, Nodal officer of Red Ribbon Club. All teaching and Non-teaching staff were also present in this occasion. |
