| GDC Purmandal holds series of events under third phase of New India@75 | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Dec 9: GDC Purmandal organized series of activities w.e.f. 1st December to 8th December, 2021under the 3rd phase of implementing New India@75 (Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav) campaign organized by National Aids Control Organization (NACO), MoH and FW, Govt. of India. A whatsapp group of 50 students were created under Red Ribbon Club and all the members of the group have attended launch of National Level Campaign on HIV, TB and Blood Donation Awareness by subscribing NACO YouTube Channel. The second event was an online video Blog competition held on 03.12.2021. A good number of students participated in the event and expressed their views on different hash tags viz. HIV Prevention, HIV Stigma and HIV testing to spread awareness on AIDS. The third activity was Slogan writing competition on Tuberculosis awareness held on 04.12.2021. The programme was aimed to spread the awareness among students and different sections of the society regarding its prevention. The fourth activity was poster making competition on Blood Donation awareness. The event was organized to raise Global Awareness of the need for safe blood donation and to encourage the students to participate in blood donation Camps because every drop of blood counts and can save a precious life. A total of 25 students were participated in the Poster making competition. Ajit Singh and Sahiya Bibi of semester 3rd stood 1st and 2nd respectively while Bafeel Malik stood 3rd. The last activity was Mask making competition on Covid-19 awareness. All the above said events were organized under the patronage of Prof. Seema Mir, Principal of the college. She appreciated the efforts of the students for their active participation in all the activities. Prof. Shahima Akhter, Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club of the College supervised all the events. |
