| NYK Udhampur organizes Distt Level Declamation contest | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Dec 9: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India organized a District Level Declamation contest on Patriotism and Nation Building at GDC Boys, Udhampur in which 30 participants from across the district participated and spoke on the topic. The participants at the district level were shortlisted after being screened in block level declamation contests.
The event started with the lamp lightening by the District Information Officer Rajendra Kr. Digra, District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta and the college staff. At the outset, Khushal Gupta welcomed the Chief Guest, Jury members and the participants on behalf of Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur. He briefed the participants about the objectives of the programme and the idea behind this initiative.
The contestants from all blocks spoke vehemently on the topic and expressed their views courageously. The jury members included Dr Rippy Bawa, Prof Pooja Dheeman and Amar Dev Singh. The day-long event concluded with the vote of thanks by Accounts & Programme Assistant Souravdeep Singh. The results were announced on the same day in which Amandeep Singh from Block Ramnagar stood first, Suhani Gupta from Block Ramnagar stood second and Meenakshi Devi from Block Moungri attained third position. At the end, the merit certificates were given to all the participants. It is pertinent to mention that the district level winners of the Declamation contest will compete at the State/UT level that will be organized very soon.
