GDC Sidhra organizes Career Building Programme for SC/ST students | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 9: Career Counselling and Placement Committee of Government Degree College Sidhra under the theme skill india of 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' has successfully organized a one day offline workshop on Career Building Programme for SC/ ST students today. The resource person of the programme was Shabaz Chowdhary, Sub-Regional Employment Officer, Jammu, National Career Service Centre for SC/ST, Govt. of India. The programme was initiated with the welcome address by Prof. Mussarat Chowdhary member of the Committee. Resource person extensively deliberated on various Career opportunities/ Programmes available for the college students. He highlighted about the different kind of employment avenues in both government and private sectors. He overtly emphasized on the various techniques and methods including right strategy and smart work for grabbing various career opportunities. He suggested various right opportunities in right time and Career exams to students as per their ability and interest related with different boards like JKSSB, JKPSC, UPSC etc. He categorically stated about the means and aptness of grabbing career opportunities at the right time in their career Journey. A Number of students of different semesters of the college interacted with the resource person about their doubts and queries and gained many new insights in the field of their upcoming Career.. Principal, Dr. Monika Sharma concluded the programme while giving her appreciating words and encouragement to the valuable insights of the Resource person. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, given by Dr. Punam Rani, Convener of Career Counseling and placement Cell.The event was organized by Dr. Prof Deepa kak, Dept of Education and Prof. Meesha Bhagat, Assistant professor in Political Science members of the Career Counseling and placement Cell. |
