| Tony terms acceptance of farmers' demands a big victory | | | Early Times Report
SUCHETGARH, Dec 9: Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC member Suchetgarh has termed the acceptance of all the demands of agitating farmers along Delhi borders by the Central Government as the biggest victory of farmers in Indian history.
In a statement issued here today, the DDC member congratulated Rakesh Tikait for this victory. He said Modi Government should always remember that never lock horns with farmers as no government can withstand the unity and strength of farmers. However, he lamented that today while farmers are celebrating victory what irks us amid celebration is that more than 750 farmers have lost their lives to achieve this victory. He said if such decision should be taken much earlier we could able to save the lives of farmers who lost their lives during the 11-months long agitation.
The DDC member emphasized that the Union Government should not delay in forming the committee on MSP and sought that the maximum members should from the Sanyukt Kissan Morcha. |
