DC Poonch reviews progress under District Capex Plan 2021-22
Directs line departments to ensure 75% expenditure by December end

POONCH, Dec 17: District Development Commissioner, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting of all Sectoral/District Officers to review the physical and financial status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan, 2021-22.
At the outset, sector wise status and details of the physical targets achieved till date was put forth in the meeting.
It was informed that a total 331 works have been approved under the DDC component, including 206 of RDD, 70 of PWD, 3 of PHE, 18 of PHE Ground water, 12 of Health, 12 of PDD, 3 of Tourism and 7 of Contingency nature.
Similarly, a total 110 works have been approved under BDC component including, 79 of RDD, 19 of PWD, 1 of PHE, 4 of PHE Ground Water, 4 of PDD and 3 of PMGSY.
It was further informed in the meeting that 1540 works have been approved under PRI component including 1079 of RDD, 262 of PHE Ground water, 84 of PDD, 40 of PWD, 34 of Jal-shakti, 23 of education, 2 of horticulture,2 of Agriculture, 2 of Animal husbandry and 12 of health sector.
The DDC took sector wise detailed review of all works and directed the officers to ensure 75 percent expenditure by the end of December, 2021 under PHE, PWD, PDD, Education, Health, PMGSY, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Tourism and other sectors, besides under DDC, BDC and PRI grants.
The DDC directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season. He stressed on authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
He cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed timeline will not be tolerated at all.
While reviewing the progress of works, the DDC asked the concerned officers to expedite the works in their respective blocks so that all eligible persons are entitled to the benefits under the scheme.
The DDC asked the Officers to take strict action against those officials who unnecessarily create hurdles and delay the developmental works by not fulfilling the formalities after allotment of works or do not complete the works despite issuing notices.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Abdul Sattar, Chief Planning Officer, Madan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shafiq Mir, Chief Medical Officer, G.A Malik, CEO Education, DYSSO, Mohammad Qasim, executive engineers of PWD(R&B), Jal Shakti, PDD & REW alongwith all AEEs, AEs, and JEs, besides all BDOs of district Poonch.
