JUNTEU rebuts ‘dissolution of union’, calls it unconstitutional | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) today trashed the claims of its general secretary regarding dissolution of the union and termed the same as unconstitutional. Addressing a press conference here today, JUNTEU president Dr Rakesh Chib said, “The general body did not accept the resolution of dissolution of the general Secretary and directed the President to convene the next General Body as early as possible.” The General Body also directed the President to seek the resignation of the members of the Working Committee who are not willing to work in the Executive body so that further course of action may be decided in the matter during the next General Body to be convened shortly, he added. Chib said that on the verbal requests of the primary members of the non-teaching employee union on many occasions, the General Body meeting was convened on December 15 to introduce the newly elected Executive body, as due to Covid protocol and other restrictions the introductory meeting could not be held, in spite of the opposition of the General Secretary and some members of the working committee.
