RAJOURI, Dec 17: Department of Geology Government P G College Rajouri organized a webinar/seminar on “Medical Geology” under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 76th year of Independence day here today.
Prof. Shakeel Ahmed Raina, Principal presided over the hybrid mode programme.
Dr. Raziullah Khan eminent scholar from department of geology Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP) was the resource person. Dr. Rajiullah delivered talk on geo-chemical appraisal of Pb-Zn deposit of Rampura- Agucha open cast mine.
Dr. Masood Ahmad delivered a lecturer on “an over view on medical geology/geochemistry/geo-medicine.
Dr. Masood highlighted the scope, importance and application of minerals in the life of mankind, plants and animals. Prof. Raina in his presidential address lauded the extra ordinary efforts of Department of Geology to educate the masses about the importance of minerals in the life of mankind.
