JKAP 4th Bn organizes awareness programme on Make in India

JAMMU, Dec 17: JKAP 4th Security Bn in collaboration with Govt Degree College Bishnah organized an awareness programme on Make in India/Atam Nirbhar Bharat under Civic Action Programma-2021 in the premises of Govt Degree College Bishnah. Dr S.D Singh, ADGP Security, Director SKPA Udhampur, Director SSG was the Chief Guest and Dr Anuradha Pandoh was the guest of honour on the occasion.On arriving at the venue, the chief guest inspected the stalls of Ari work, paper bags, candle making from Police Department and mushroom cultivation installed by Department of Botany, GDC Bishnah.
The stalls were installed to make the students aware as to how to become self reliant besides theie studies. The programme started with lighting of the traditional lamp. Dr Anuradha Pandoh formally welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. In the symposium having the topic Make in India/Atam Nirbhar Bharat, students threw light on the different contours of Make in India/Atamnirbhar Bharat. Their performances were adjudged by the jury comprising Sanjeev Khajuria, SP JKP, Prof Rashmi Arya, Dr Sapna Bharghav. Anmol from Sem-V got 1st, Mukti from Sem-III 2nd while Ankush from Sem-V and Riya from Sem-I shared the 3rd prize respectively. Prof Amit Kumar Sharma from GDC Bishnah and Dr Bazila Naseer, Consultant, PMFME Deptt of Horticulture, Civil Secretariat also delved on the various aspects of the theme. Speaking on the occasion, Dr S.D Singh Jamwal exhorted the students to be confident of their capabilities and polish them for their development as well as the development of the nation. Ashok Kumar Sharma, SSP, Commandant 4th Security Bn emphasized that India is a nation of youth and hence has immense potential for contribution in realizing the dream of self reliant India through skill development. The participants and speakers were given mementos and cash prizes. The entire programme was compeered by Dr Sunil Kumar Saliada, Prof Sunil Kumar and Sgct Sayeda. Amrit Kour, Principal of GHSS Bishnah along with their staff and students was also present in the programme. The vote of thanks was given by Mohd Aijaz Bhat. The overall programme was coordinated by Prof Sumit Gupta of GDC Bishnah a nd his meticulous execution was applauded by the Commandant, JKAP 4th Security Bn.
