J&K youth have lot of potential: Sat | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 22: With a vision to promote athletes and giving them a direction to fulfill their aim, former minister and ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) felicitated Arjun Bhandari at Janipur colony who recently won a Gold Medal in International Powerlifting Championship which was held in Pokhara, Nepal and was organized by Nepal Youth Sports Development Forum. Terming it as a major achievement, Sharma said Arjun has made Jammu and Kashmir proud.Sharma was also accompanied by Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, Councilor Ward 37 Sunita Gupta and many others. While congratulating the parents of Arjun, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a great achievement and he said that Arjun has only one working arm with which he lifted a weight of 90 kilograms. He said some years back he lost his one arm in a major accident but he did not lost his way to success. He moved on with a mission and just like Arjun of Mahabharata, he excelled and fulfilled his vision by staying focused towards his dreams, he added. He stated that the LG administration must also design a road map to promote other sports in UT as well. He also stated that the youth of J&K have a lot of potential and every possible assistance must be provided to them which will also help in building a positive future for our country. Arjun Bhandari thanked the former minister for promoting sports players and also appealed to the Administration to promote sports players across Jammu and Kashmir so that Jammu's name can be promoted on a larger platform.
