J&K Govt has failed, elections only way out: Azad | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 22: Slamming J&K Government for its alleged failure to address the problems faced by the people of the Union Territory, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said that elections in the UT should be held immediately. While addressing a public gathering at his home Constituency Bhaderwah, Azad said that he is not concerned about who becomes the Chief Minister and from which party. The concern is only that elections should be held after winter ends so that a popular government could take over and mitigate the suffering of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that there is no substitute to the popular government. “People need public representatives whom they can approach whenever they want. Imposition of Governor’s rule in J&K has made government inaccessible for people,” he said. “Whoever is the CM from whichever party, I don't have any interest, but there should be political activities.” “BJP first enjoyed power in the coalition and now is enjoying power through LG. BJP Govt has failed people and only election is the solution” Azad said. “I believe in humanity. God has created us with the same blood. Let’s not divide people in the name of religion,” he said. |
