JAMMU, Dec 22:: The J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu, organized a drawing competition to commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaostav” under the theme “Say No to Drugs” today. About 60 Scouts/Guides, Scouters/Guiders and heads of various institutions participated. Matri Jain, State Commissioner (G) was the chief guest on this auspicious occasion. The event became more graceful with the presence of Usha Chunni, PL Dubey, Manjeet Kour, Harvinder Kour, Ashok Sharma, Krishna, Jyoti, Kanchan Sharma, RC Vaid, Ravinder Sadhu, Sandeep, Rita, Dolly and other teachers. The chief guest blessed the Scouts and Guides and appreciated the steps being taken by this movement to spread the message of this noble movement to every corner of the State. He felt highly impressed that this movement is trying to cultivate basic values such as commitment, conviction, character, courtesy and cheerfulness in the right earnestness in the young Scouts & Guides which is the need of the hour. She also expressed her deep concern over the growing menace of drugs and promised to remain away from the same. The event was conceived and conducted under the directions of Nasreen Khan, State Secretary-cum-Administrative Officer, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu. |
