PM Modi speaks to Kavinder over phone, asks to provide all help to injured of Katra stampede | Kavinder visits Narayana Hosptial, enquires well-being of stampede victims | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on early Saturday morning gave a phone call to senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta asking him to oversee the help being provided to the devotees who got injured in stampede and also mobilize the party cadre to ensure food and other assistance to all the Yatris. After the senior party leader received the phone call from PM Modi, he assured that he will manage all the assistance by involving the BJP cadre and will ensure that no pilgrim faces any difficulty with regard to treatment, blood, food, transport or any other requirement. Earlier, PM called him and enquired about the ground situation in Katra, the base camp of Maa Vaishno Devi Shrine and at the Bhawan. Consequently, the former deputy CM gave detailed information to the PM and assured him that he will leave no stone unturned to provide succor to the pilgrims especially those who were injured and presently being treated at various healthcare facilities in Katra and other places. Later in the day, Kavinder visited Narayana Hospital and enquired about the well being of the injured devotees. He directed the hospital administration to take special care of the injured persons and asked them to ensure that they should not face any kind of difficulty. Meanwhile, Kavinder also started drainage work at Ward No 51 with an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh and work of pipe laying by PHE Deptt at Jeevan Nagar near Swami Hridayedeep Ashram. He also started lane and drain works at an estimated cost of Rs 34 lakh in the area. While launching these works, Kavinder made it clear that as far as development aspirations of the people are concerned, the government will fulfill these in the coming days. He said that people should come up with their requirements on 'Bijli, Pani and Sadak' without any inhibitions and the same will be taken care of by the BJP leadership which is right now acting as the bridge between people and the administration. He said, "By now people have understood well that the BJP Government means business and will not take rest until each and every citizen of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will get satisfied with civic infra, water and power needs besides other amenities required for a convenient life".
