DC Rajouri reviews preparation for inoculation of children in 15 - 17 age group

RAJOURI, Jan 1: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today asked the concerned departments to make synergised efforts to achieve covid vaccination of children in 15 to 17 agegroup in the district starting from January3, 2022 across the country.
He was speaking at a meeting to discuss the modalities for the successful conduct of the COVID inoculation drive for the said age group in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; Principal GDC Rajouri, Shakeel Raina; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; MS DH, Dr Mehmood; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; DAC, Dr Farooq and other concerned officers.
The DC asked the heads of Educational institutions to identify the number of children falling under the 15-17 year age bracket so as to ensure their vaccination within the shortest possible time.
They were further directed to identify the school dropouts in the targeted age group and share the list with the Health Department to cover them at the earliest.
Laying special emphasis on intensifying testing and vaccination, the DC directed the concerned authorities to make synergized efforts to accelerate the process with special focus on targeted groups in addition to the ongoing vaccination drive.
He further asked to scale up testing to avert the imminent threat of Omicron. He also set a six day timeline for administering the first dose to age appropriate children.
Stressing on ensuring strict adherence to COVID protocols, the DC directed the officers not to lower the guard and continue to maintain the highest level of alertness to ensure implementation of SOPs. He also asked for strict action against the violators of COVID SOPs.
