| CPI extends support to protesting Safai Karamcharis of Chenab Valley | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 3: Communist Party of India (CPI) Jammu Regional Council today extended its full support to protesting Safai Karamcharis of Chenab Valley, who are continuously protesting from last 10-15 days.
Those who daily pick up our waste material and keep our surroundings clean has right to fight for their rights, even the government entitled them with the word "Corona Warriors" but the same government is ignoring their genuine demands.
There are many Safai Karamcharis who have served more than 20 years but not regularised yet. ReTs (Rebhar -E - Talim), ReZ ( Rebhar - E - Zarat) got regularised after few years of service but why government is showing step - motherly attitude towards Safaikaramcharis.
The COVID-19 is not ended yet, virus is mutating from one varient to another. By dumping the wastes in our surroundings the government is itself inviting the virus to infact people. CPI demanded to immediately regularise all the Safai Karamcharis of Chenab Valley and give relief to people from smell, dust and filth. |
