| Socio-political empowerment of weaker sections imperative for growth of society: Lochan | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Jan 3: Describing revocation of Article 370 as detrimental to the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference SC Cell Provincial President Vijay Lochan has sought immediate provisions to safeguard the interests of the people with regard to lands and jobs.
"The BJP has all along played with the aspirations and sentiments of the people of J&K", Lochan said while addressing a day long convention of the Cell at Kathua (Nagri). The function was organized by Subash Chander Azad District President SC Cell Kathua. Lochan was the chief guest. Lochan also called for socio-political empowerment of weaker sections of the society, saying their active involvement in decision making will greatly help in their economic emancipation. He said National Conference has all along provided platform and opportunities to the weaker sections and ensured their active participation in the process of governance. |
