Bali holds protest in New Delhi, raises demands of contractual employees
1/3/2022 10:38:39 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 3: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu unit's Trade Union leader Sewa Singh Bali, in a press release issued here has strongly castigated the LG run administration for having no policy with regard to SPOs/NHM/daily wagers/ contractual employees and other need bases employees of Jammu and Kashmir who have since been left in lurch and are forced to run from pillar to post and groping in dark without any hope to see a ray of hope.
Sewa Singh Bali held a
day long protest at New
Delhi on January 2 to
draw the attention of
central government in this behalf alleging that successive State governments in the past, without application of mind and without any concrete planning engaged the highly educated youths as contractual employees/SPOs/NHM/daily wagers, who are now running from pillar to post for getting regularized and were adjusted solely with political considerations but sadly present dispensation also seems making fun of them, though Prime Minister Narendra Modi loudly praising from the roof tops that NHM employees have done a Yeoman's job during Covid-19 and was all praise for them simply to gain lip sympathy but practically doing nothing for all such daily wagers/SPOs/ contractual employee, NHM workers called as Front warriors.
As per a press handout issued, Bali submitted a memorandum to the Union Health Minister urging him to look into the matter compassionately to regularize about 20,000 health employees besides SPOs, other contractual and daily rated ones to save their future.
The Aam Aadmi Party Trade Union leader has exhorted upon the government to match their words with deeds so that sheltered confidence of the masses is regained, the release said.
