| Vision Kashmir holds meeting, discusses various issues | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 3: A meeting was held by the members of Vision Kashmir today in which they deliberated the various issues being confronted by the relief holders and over aged youth of the exiled community.
The Convener of the organization, Sunil Fotedar while addressing the meeting said that over aged relief holders are already struggling for penury as they are completely dependent on cash assistance only. He said the organization has a number of times requested authorities concerned through verbal prayers and memorandums for enhancement in cash assistance as its very difficult for them to keep the lamps burning due to high market index where the prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing, which was duly agreed and accepted by our Commissioner but unfortunately till date except assurances nothing has been done.
He said that catastrophic situation arisen due to covid pandemic has broken the financial back bone of relief holders who not only turned over aged but remains completely dependent on cash assistance.
The other members of the organization while addressing the meeting said that over aged relief holders have been left in a disappointing situation with days and nights turning longer for them and the hope of getting justice is becoming bleaker.
They further added that the fact is that our own country was neither able to defend our life and limb nor was able to provide us the honorable right to live, it's very much disgusting that a miniscule and hapless relief holders with miniscule resources stands ignored and deprived of basic necessities of life.
Others who addressed the meeting include Ramesh Sopori, Sanjay Chowgami, Raja ji, Bharat and Sanjay Zutshi. |
